Account creation with 50,000 UEC bonus

At various times throughout the year, Cloud Imperium Games offers interested players the opportunity to try out the game Star Citizen for free. If you are interested in such a free fly, we will announce these periods to you on this page.

In addition, we will explain to you, as a new player, step by step how you can participate in the Free Fly and what you should keep in mind when creating your free account to secure all available benefits. When you use the referral code

an additional starting balance of 50,000 UEC (in-game currency) will be added to your game account. This currently corresponds to a value of $50, should you wish to purchase it alternatively in the Cloud Imperium Games game shop.

During certain promotional periods, game accounts will receive an additional bonus or game packages will be offered at a discount. We will inform you of this here.
There are currently discounted game packages available to purchase in celebration of the Day of the Vara event and the upcoming Citizen Con. You can find more information at the Star Citizen Pledge Store.

In light of last year's experience, we think it's possible that another special bonus promotion will be launched for CitizenCon in mid-October. However, this won't necessarily involve a free fly.

Below, we'll explain step by step how you can participate in a Free Fly in Star Citizen and what you should keep in mind when creating your free account.

	Create a Star Citizen account. Using the referral code STAR-Y7ZP-Q4NR an additional starting balance of 50,000 UEC (in-game currency) will be added to your game account. You can create a game account on the Star Citizen homepage or simply click the button below. Please note that the account name you choose, also called your handle, is your unique in-game name, which your fellow players will recognize and address you by. So choose it carefully.


	Once you have successfully created your game account, you can download and install the RSI Launcher. You can start the download by pressing the button below.


	Once the installation is complete, you can start the RSI Launcher and log in with the account details you used during registration. After successfully logging in, you can start downloading the game client in the RSI Launcher. This will likely take some time. Once the game has been fully installed, you can launch it and are ready to participate in the Star Citizen Free Fly.

	If the Free Fly period has expired or if you want to play outside of a Free Fly period, you will need a Game Package. There are various game packages available for purchase in the Pledge Store, which you can access via the button below. Generally, the smallest game package is sufficient to participate in the game. If you want, you can always upgrade your starting ship to a larger ship later. During certain promotional periods, game packages are offered at a discount. Occasionally, newly created accounts are also awarded an additional referral bonus when using the referral code. If we are aware of this, we will indicate this further up on this page.

	Any available referral bonus will only be credited to your game account after you have purchased a game package worth at least $40. The Pledge Store may require you to log in to the site with your account information to make a purchase.
